Thanks for ensuring Georgia’s children in foster care have a memorable Christmas!

Christmas morning will be a little merrier for Georgia’s children in foster care this year, thanks to the generous donations from so many families! The Clark’s Christmas Kids program raised over $1.5 million, providing more than 25,500 gifts and successfully fulfilling the wish lists of more than 8,500 Georgia children in foster care!

DHS partnered with radio host Clark Howard, WSB-Radio, St. Vincent de Paul and other community partners to make this happen, using an entirely virtual platform for the second year in a row. Sponsors chose toys and donated funds needed to purchase them for children. This year’s virtual drive was one of the largest collections of gifts in the program’s 31-year history.

“All of us at DHS are so grateful for Clark Howard, WSB Radio and St. Vincent de Paul for their continued support of our children in foster care,” DHS Commissioner Candice L. Broce said. “We also want to thank Governor and First Lady Kemp, Georgia’s state agencies and all our fellow Georgians for their support. Your donations help to ensure these children have a special, memorable Christmas and a promising future.”

Thank you for your support, and happy holidays!
