Georgia Medicaid Redetermination Begins, Members Can Check Individual Redetermination Dates in Gateway

Atlanta, GA – Along with all 50 states and U.S. territories, the State of Georgia has resumed checking eligibility for all Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids® members for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Medicaid members can find their individual redetermination month and information about the process in their Gateway account at gateway.ga.gov. Members are reminded they should only share their personal information with official state representatives and on official state platforms.

DHS and DCH Urge 2.7 Million Medicaid Members to Keep Contact Information Updated as Redetermination Begins

Atlanta, GA – The State of Georgia will begin checking eligibility for all Medicaid and PeachCare for Kids® members once again in April with the first redetermination letters going out to members on April 17, 2023. To stay informed about their individual redetermination process and timeline, members should update their contact information in Gateway at gateway.ga.gov as soon as possible.

Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program for Cooling Opens April 3

Atlanta, GA – The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Cooling Program, administered by the Georgia Department of Human Services’ (DHS) Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS), will be available April 3, 2023, through July 31, 2023, or until funds are exhausted. This federally funded program assists low-income, elderly, and disabled Georgians with cooling bills through direct payments to home energy suppliers.
