The Kinship Care Summit is dedicated to educating, supporting and celebrating the remarkable work being done every day by unsung heroes.
As kinship care continues to be a primary and valuable option for children who cannot live with their parents, emphasis on kinship care policy, practice, and research is necessary to continue to enhance services and supports for kinship caregivers and families. This Summit will educate kinship families while focusing on important topics and offering a safe and empathetic space to be among people who identify and understand the joys and challenges of kinship caregiving.
The Summit is FREE for the entire family; there will be activities for children such as arts & crafts, caricatures, face painting, movies, and buffet lunch. Breakfast, lunch, and snack will be provided.
Transportation is provided.
