GMAAC offers medical interpreter training in February

Georgia Mutual Assistance Association Consortium (GMAAC) is pleased to offer the first Medical Interpreter Training of 2004 on February 5, 6, 10, 11, and 12. The training will be held at the North Dekalb Health Center in Chamblee, GA.

Bilingual individuals who wish to work as medical interpreters and translators are strongly encouraged to register for this training course. We also invite bilingual staff who work in health departments, hospitals, and other health facilities to attend this training.

This training will use the “Bridging the Gap” curriculum. Participants will receive comprehensive training materials including a medical handbook and a medical glossary.

The registration fee for this course is $400.00. Please enclose payment (check or money order) with your registration form. Participant must attend all five days of training. A link to the registration form is provided below.

Space is limited to 20 participants. Therefore, we recommend those interested to sign up as soon as possible. Please send in your registration form no later than January 30, 2004.
