SPARK interest in DHS

This year, DHS is continuing its SPARK program in partnership with the Georgia Public Library Service to provide information on community services and programs in cities across the state. 
  
SPARK community events are planned statewide throughout the year. During the SPARK events, DHS staff will be on site to conduct individualized assessments, provide referrals to employment opportunities, answer questions about public assistance programs and connect local residents to resources in their area. In addition, the Georgia Public Library Service offers all Georgians free and open access to a wide variety of programs, classes, information and resources. 
 
Participating libraries will host community resource fairs featuring social service organizations, nonprofits, government agencies and businesses. You can visit your local library during a SPARK event to learn more about these services and programs:
