DHS surveys faith-based communities on older adults’ needs
Georgia’s churches, synagogues, masjids, temples and other faith-based organizations are aging as the state’s population grows older. Is the average age of your congregation rising, too? Tell us how the Georgia Department of Human Services and your local Area Agency on Aging can help you meet the needs of your older members.
We’re eager to hear voices from Georgia’s farm towns, cities, suburbs and all parts in between. Do you have a small congregation with limited resources, or is your congregation large, with multiple departments and committees? What are some of the needs you see among the older members of your congregation? And, most importantly, do you ever wish that somebody could help you help them?
Think of Georgia’s aging network as your trusted senior services partner. Your local Area Agency on Aging is standing by, ready to keep you informed and connect older adults to locally available services. But first, we need your help.
Tell us what you need. Your responses represent other congregations just like yours, so every completed survey packs plenty of power. Share the link with other faith leaders and take the survey yourself. We promise that it will take no more than 10 minutes of your time.
