Medicare open enrollment is now open!

The GeorgiaCares State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) is open for business and your safety is our concern. Individuals with Medicare can receive health and drug plan comparisons to lower costs or find extra benefits.   

From Oct. 15 to Dec. 7, all people with Medicare can change their Medicare health plans and prescription drug coverage for the following year to better meet their needs.  Every year, it pays to compare plans, as Medicare health and drug plans make changes each year on costs, coverage options and which providers and pharmacies are in their networks.

Now is the time to consider your options. 

This is your chance to look at all of your Medicare plan choices for the year ahead, like prescription drug plans, Medicare Advantage and supplemental (Medigap) plans. 

Plans change, so can your health needs. 

Medicare plans change each year. Don’t assume your current coverage is still your best choice. Review your current plan, costs and health needs, then see how other plan options compare. 

It’s worth a look. 

You may find better coverage, extra benefits or reduced costs. It’s worth taking the time to explore your options while you can.
