ATLANTA – The Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS) Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) is proud to present its new livestream series, “Fatherhood Conversations” on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Fatherhood Conversations will provide custodial and noncustodial parents the opportunity to learn more about the Fatherhood program and address questions and concerns. Topics to be discussed include, but are not limited to:

  • License Reinstatement
  • Job placement, coaching and mentoring
  • GED classes
  • Short-term training
  • Referrals for access and visitation
  • Resume writing
  • Federal bonding
  • Referrals for legitimization

“Fatherhood conversations are directly tied to effectively servicing our customers’ needs, as well as being operationally transparent,” said DCSS Deputy Director of Operations Reed Kimbrough.

About the Fatherhood Program 

The DCSS Fatherhood Program targets parents who are unemployed or underemployed and are, as a result, unable to pay their full child support obligations. The program connects parents with resources leading to jobs that pay above minimum wage, greater self-sufficiency and more emotional, parental and financial involvement in the lives of their children. Georgia has the only statewide program in the country.
