JEFFERSONVILLE, GA – In order to allow time for necessary building improvements, the Twiggs County Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) located at 14 Cedar Lane,

Jeffersonville, Georgia 31044, will be temporarily relocating staff.

DFCS Staff are available to accept paper applications and verification for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP or food stamps), Medicaid, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and Childcare and Parent Services (CAPS) programs at the Twiggs County Board of Education Administrative Building, located at 952 Main Street Jeffersonville, Georgia 31044. Child Protective Services staff will also be housed at this location.

DFCS staff will also accept applications and verification documents for economic assistance programs and conduct in-person interviews at the Wilkinson County DFCS office located at 103 Payne Street, Irwinton, Georgia 31042.

Customers may also mail applications and verification documents to Twiggs County DFCS, P.O. Box 530, Jeffersonville, Georgia 31044.

To report instances of child abuse or neglect, please call the DFCS CPS Intake Communication Center at 1-855-GA-CHILD (1-855-422-4453). Those wishing to speak with Twiggs County Staff may call (478) 945-3258 and leave a detailed message, which will be returned within 24 hours.
