Richmond County Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) staff are preparing to relocate at the end of this week.

The Georgia Division of Family and Children Services announced that the move will take place Thursday September 19th and Friday September 20th. The lobby at the current location, 2216 Bungalow Rd. will be closed Friday September 20th at 12 p.m. and will reopen Monday September 23rd at 8 a.m. at the new location.

The original Richmond County DFCS office located at 520 Fenwick Street, closed indefinitely due to extensive structural damage caused by an overnight fire on June 12, 2017.

The new office is located at 3310 Old Louisville Rd. Augusta, Ga 30906.
