Canton, GA – Cherokee County Department of Family & Children Services (DFCS) staff are preparing to relocate in early March. The Division announced that doors will open at a new location on Tuesday, Mar. 3. The lobby at the current location, 105 Lamar Haley Parkway, Canton, GA 30114, will close its doors on Monday, Mar. 2 and will reopen the following day at 8 a.m. in a new location at 1300 Univeter Rd., Canton, GA 30115.

The new office building will be 31, 000 square feet, will house over 100 DFCS staff and is expected to serve more than 45,000 families in Cherokee County. DFCS customers needing economic assistance and child welfare services in Cherokee County will be able to apply in person for all services in the new location at 1300 Univeter Rd., Canton, GA 30115 beginning on Mar. 3. The new office will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to walk-in customers.
