Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period
The 2020 Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period runs from Jan. 1 – March 31. If your current Medicare Advantage plan isn’t meeting your needs, you may want to compare the plans available this year and consider enrolling in a different one.
You must be currently enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan to make any changes in coverage during the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period. If you’re enrolled in Original Medicare (Part A and Part B), the new open enrollment period doesn’t apply to you.
During the open enrollment period, you can switch to a different Medicare Advantage plan or you can drop your current Medicare Advantage plan and return to traditional Medicare. If you opt to return to traditional Medicare, you’ll be required to sign up for a stand-alone Medicare Part D prescription drug plan.
