Medicare open enrollment begins Oct. 15  

The GeorgiaCares State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) is open for business and your safety is our main priority. This year, individuals with Medicare can receive information virtually on health and drug plan comparisons in order to lower costs or find extra benefits.  

Every year, it pays to compare plans. 

Now is the time to consider your options. 
This is your chance to look at all of your Medicare plan choices for the upcoming year, like prescription drug plans, Medicare Advantage and supplemental (Medigap) plans. 

Plans change, so can your health needs. 
Medicare plans change each year. Don’t assume your current coverage is still your best choice. Review your current plan, costs and health needs, then see how other plan options compare. 

It’s worth a look. 
You may find better coverage, extra benefits or reduced costs. It’s worth taking the time to explore your options while you can.
