The Georgia Department of Human Services has completed an investigation into an improper disposal of confidential case files.
In alignment with Gov. Brian P. Kemp’s call to limit in-person contact across the state, the Department of Human Services is implementing new office protocols in response to COVID-19. Beginning Monday, March 23, 2020, all DHS offices will encourage customers to use self-service options and telephonic communication as a primary means to conduct business. Individuals requiring in-person consultation will be seen by appointment only.
Nonprofits, philanthropies, government, businesses, individuals and all interested parties can now apply to receive potential funding, technical assistance and community support from the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) State of Hope (SoH) initiative.
Forsyth County residents will now need to apply for all services at the new location – 6435 Shiloh Road, Suite C, Alpharetta, GA 30005.
Cherokee County residents will now need to apply for all services at the new location – 1300 Univeter Rd., Canton, GA 30115.
DeKalb County residents will now need to apply for all services at the new location - 2300 Parklake Dr., Atlanta 30345.
White County residents will now need to apply for all services at the new location – 970 East Kytle Street, Cleveland, 30528.
