Facility Services Section
The Facility Services Section (FSS) consists of the following teams:
- Facilities Management
- Emergency Management
- Contract Services
- Mailroom Services
The Facility Services Section (FSS) is responsible for proper management of the six (6) buildings owned by the Department of Human Services (DHS). The DHS-owned buildings are in the following counties: Bacon, Ben Hill, Gwinnett, Houston, Peach and Troup.
The DHS State Emergency Manager serves as the Emergency Support Function 6 lead (ESF 6) responsible for mass care, emergency assistance, temporary shelter, and human services in accordance to state and federal guidelines.
The Contract Services Team is responsible for managing and processing contracts and vendor invoices for servicing the six (6) DHS-Owned buildings and the State Office in Atlanta. Active contracts include heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), pest control, lawn care, security and janitorial.
Additionally, FSS is responsible for providing mail services at 2 Peachtree for the State of Georgia.
